I had one of the strangest experiences of my life when I went to support group once, just to see what it was like. I doubt I would ever go to another one unless it was people I knew, at least a little bit, from online first.

I tend to agree - I have met other aspies IRL and I'm not quite as socially retarded, but close.

I'd say I have an extremely male, warped brain, a lot of aspie tendancies, and a love of internet forums as a social setting.

Would it piss anyone off* if I, a "normal" person, hung around? *Any more than usual that is.

This site has really helped me get a grip on my insecurities and has cheered me up when depressed, so thank-you all.

When I attended a local social support group for Autistics... I considered myself to be somewhere in the middle. Some were more badly affected than I am and some seemed more like NTs... I say this not doubting their DXs, but saying how they came across to me.
