Car accident
« on: July 26, 2008, 05:16:46 PM »
Have you ever seen a car accident and couldn't figure out how the hell they got the way they were? Here one I saw today there where two other cars in it but this one I can't figure how it flipped.  They were still pulling someone out when I went by.  Too bad if you think it's ghoulish to take the photo but if you were there you would have looked too I just had a camera and a passenger to take the photo

Saw another today I could figure out how they got that way unless someone was being a complete ass.  Where do these people get their licenses

Ford Explorers tend to do that.

I was going to Montana back in May and I see a trucker standing out in the middle of the freeway with his truck parked on the side waving his hands and the cars in front of me are going to the other lane, I do the same too and I see all this junk in the road and a totaled up pick up truck off the freeway and it was on four wheels. There were also other cars parked off the freeway and I figured they were all witnesses and they were all waiting for the police to come. Maybe the tire burst and they spun out of control and they rolled and they happened to land back on four wheels when they stopped. The top was smashed. Made me wonder if the people in it were hurt or not.

I have also seen a car on fire back when I was in sixth grade. We were also going to Montana and then all of a sudden there is a line of traffic up ahead because they were driving all slow. Then we see a car on fire on the side of the freeway and I said "cool" because I had never seen a car on fire before, only on TV. My mother said it was not cool and it's sad. There were people standing outside of it. But after we drove past it, the cars were going a normal speed again. They basically slowed down to look at the incident and then they go back to the normal speed limit again.

Ford Explorers tend to do that.

I was an odd place though speed limits only say 30mph and it's facing the wrong way on the wrong side of the street under traffic light during peak driving hours

People here typically travel well above the posted speed limits. I live on a residential street corner, with a limit posted of twenty five miles per hour. I know that many young drivers fly down this street traveling near fifty, quite often.

What I am often amazed at is how the modern cars seem to protect people. I have seen some hellish crashes (or the results, at least) and no one is hurt.

Used to see a good deal of them at my mom's.

We had one knock at the door one morning at around 7:30 am from a guy asking to use the phone. Went out and there's this little Escort sitting on it's roof on the shoulder of the road like a kid's tonka toy.

The guy said he sneezed, let go of the wheel & and the car climbed the hillside and rolled. Wanted to take a picture, but he looked so embarrassed I just didn't have the heart to.

Saw a 1963 EJ Holden sedan cut of a 4 wheel drive Toyota and a 1969 Kingswood station wagon ploughed straight into it and flipped it onto its side. Fucking happened right in front of me whe  I was wiyj mt mate walking to the pub. Couldn't get the number of the car that cut 'em off.

Der, which fucking lane was that guy meant to be in? I mean, there aren't three fucking options; it's either left or right. No wonder the oncoming traffic was in the emergency lane or on the shoulder.

That reminds me of an episode of 'On The Buses' when Stan stuck the bus under a railway bridge and Blakey was upstairs.
