Insomia of the last few weeks has put me behind in Admin at work I am desperately hoping I can rise and wake early and go into work 2 hours before I am due and hammer the backlogged Admin and start the week afresh before too many things come back and bite me. Worse case is that the customers I am suppose to have done stuff for phone or email in and I have the bosses ask me have I fixed it and if not why? I want to have it done so if they ask I can say yeah it is all done already.
More sales more admin it is the way of things.More admin takes time and time away from doing sales.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Tired. But it's a good tired. :)

Sympathising with Les about the admin thing. The skilled-trades guys at one place I worked were always complaining that they spent more time documenting their work than they spent performing it.

Something like that, or being on the alert 24/7 for too long, unable to let go now.

Which means that either the documentation process is wrong or the selling process is wrong.

Or they just really don't want to doccument their work. You know, time flies when you're having fun, the opposite when you're not.

I always thought they were out of their cotton-pickin' minds to prefer mucking around with dusty wiring harnesses or greasy pipes over filling out timesheets, but there's no accounting for some people's taste. :)

Blech. Have that scratchy feeling in the back of my throat that tells me i'm coming down with some pathetic germ. Feel like crap this morning. I'm guessing my stress level has killed my immune system. I need a reboot.  :P

Documentation process is wrong.
They would rather send form back to the salesperson over a slight technicality and hold up the customer's service than fix it and at the same time drive the expectation to spend less times on forms and make more sales. More sales = more paperwork which is less time spent selling which is less selling = less sales....ugh.
