I think you would be wise to take an offer if it is a decent one, especially if there is the possibility of a backdoor that could lead to your dream job. Hardly anything worse than not knowing where you will be next month and having to go through the whole resume submission ordeal.

It kind of sounds ass-backwards to put artists so far down on the totem pole, but modern corporate business practices do not always make sense to me. I hope the sickening part is over soon, either way.
