The solidity of her writing style and her ability to describe things that most people accept without questioning, but that really need to be questioned. Her self-discipline. Her logic. And the fact that I am almost completely unable to communicate with her without coming off as a prick fascinates me.

I really respect her egalitarian approach to life, especially when it applies to her stance on the autism spectrum. I've been reading a lot of articles from advocates like Michelle Dawson and Frank Klein from 2003/4.

I'm not sure what I think of that. It contradicts directly with some of the ideas I hold about competition and survival of the fittest. But I like reading stuff that makes me question myself.

Don't you sometimes hate the idea, even though it is plausible in some respects?

Hate what, the idea that life is a ruthless competition?

Life's a ruthless and meaningless competition.  :(

Oh yeah, and what side of the world did you drop off of for the last few months? Was that port or starboard?  ;)

I think it was the arse end of reality. Never mind, though - I'm climbing up the tail.

Do you play a lot of MMORPGS? If so, what are you currently into?

I don't play MMORPGS myself; I'm more of an old-fashioned gamer.

Only NWN, if that counts. Mostly at the moment I'm playing pen and paper RPG's.

Does "Warlock of Firetop Mountain" ring a bell?

As in choose your own adventure books? Hell yeah, I've been quite addicted to them, and wrote a bunch of simple ones when I was younger. I haven't read that particular one though.

It was written by a couple of guys who founded Games Workshop, some company that deals with fantasy bollocks. I used to collect their books back in the days of my lard arse years.

That would be Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson, who (*runs for Google*) is apparently not the same Steve Jackson who dreamed up GURPS and Munchkin.
