Maybe if you have thirty kids?

It does look kind of crazy to have so much room, but that cylindrical tower room with the conic roof looks pretty.  I wonder if it is a conservatory.

I would use it as a studio.

I actually love big houses, or at least exploring them and looking at the plans. If I lived in one it would probably mostly be deserted. I haven't even brought myself to use the bedroom in my one bedroom apartment here.

Heating and maintaining one of those must cost a fortune in itself.

I don't know what the tower room is I didn't work on the house just picked up stuff my brother left there for me to get.  It's in Westport Ct most of the new houses down there are big like this.  I would rather have a lot of land with several barns for workshops and stuff and a small house.

Heating and maintaining one of those must cost a fortune in itself.

The boiler room is big and noisy that was where the stuff I had to get was.  As for heating and cooling  they must pay a lot but not as much as you'd think they went all out on the insulation and sealing.  That's what my brothers specialty is controlling heating and cooling costs and sound in high end homes.

I have worked on ones up to about 30,000 square feet including Mariah Carey's house in Westchester.  I don't think she ever lived in it though it was when she was going out with the guy from Sony it had a pool and recording studio in it.

It's just to show off... no other reason.  Show off how much money you've got.  I've worked on lots of houses like that.

McMansions, Plywood Palazzo, Faux chateaus, Starter Castles, Tract Mansions.

I think they're bullshit and the people who build them are assholes.

Fuck it, we'll do it live.

When you have 100 million USD, the question arises of what to do with it.

And I live in one of the parts of the country where these people live
I have worked on ones in Greenwich Ct that the people had made to be exactly like their other houses so things would be familiar when they traveled

How about setting up a fund for use building a new section at the local library, the Make A Wish Foundation or some other decent charitable endeavor?

I wouldn't be interested in funding another Jaguar for some asshole doing "research"  to cure leukemia, but sending a sick kids to a ball games or out to the mountains one last time would be really cool.
