how long are scratches supposed to stay visible on you before they fade away?
eg if you were scratched by a cat or something, for how long should there be a line there before it disappears?

Depends on the person some people have them show a long time

if its scratches open several times after it's started to heal, will that just make it last a bit longer? not a lot longer?

Longer.  The tissue has to start the healing process again.

Cow Kitty scratches last for three or four weeks.

I wish my scars disappeared, especially one of the smallest I have (someone took a scissor and cut the skin but it took a while since the skin is pretty thick)  :(

For me, 1-2 weeks. Not sure whether I heal quickly or slowly compared.

I have scars from 15 years ago.
Things like cat scratches usually heal
pretty quickly though.

My PE had a condition where her body
would over heal. Her skin split very easily,
and would scar terribly.

You have some circulation issues though,
which highlights them, I'd guess.

I cut myself on my leg and made a cut into a scratch that was already on the side of my stomach from falling in a doorway.
The reason I cut myself  was  becuase my parents got busted for growing pot in our yard and i was worried and very upset.
and i would cut into minor scratches from my rat and other scratches a regularly get on my body  deeper with bits of glass.

It's the only time I cut myself really. This wasn't emo crap I had a reason to be upset. I thought my parents were going to jail or that we would
be charged a lot of money making my family into depth.

The one on my leg is ugly. The one on the stomach is OK and gradually fading. I cut myself last summer.
No bikini this summer. T-shirt and shorts.

i wish i'd done mine somewhere other than my arm
i wear tshirts with short sleeves a lot at home
but now, whenever i go downstairs, i have to put something else on
they're healing better than the others though, i think
i don't "cut", but i scratch lines in a lot, so sometimes they look bad

I have scratched with a pin and they heal slower than deeper cuts. I don't know why.

Really? wow I am dumb
I would have thought it'd be the other way round
Not that I should start cutting instead
I always thought they'd heal really fast
But you can still see the ones on my hand and that's from a couple months ago
