Quote
Australia Day, celebrated annually on 26th January, is the official national day of Australia, commemorating the establishment of the first European settlement on the continent of Australia. The date is that of the foundation of a British penal colony at Sydney Cove on Port Jackson, New South Wales, by Captain Arthur Phillip, who was to become the first Governor.[1] Australia Day is an official public holiday in all states and territories of Australia, and has also been known as Anniversary Day or Foundation Day.

Also called Invasion Day by the aboriginals.

THe cultural elite go to functions and attend speeches and the other 99.999% of us get really pissed, have barbies, play backyard cricket, watch fireworks and hopefully score a root.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Too hot to do anything. I will not go to Perth for their fireworks but if they have fireworks in Mandurah I will probably watch those.

I have seen a lot of cars with Australian flags attached to them. People also wear temporary tattoos of the Australian flag. It confuses me how Australia also uses green and gold (really it is yellow) as its colours.

Wattle Tree, Our Sporting Colours, perhaps even a sign of prosperity.

Something like that anyway...  :wanker:
