Really cool albums, but no reviews ...
« on: December 09, 2007, 09:29:20 PM »

This is not about music. Post a review and you will be flipped off.

What appeals to you, though?   Images?   Clever turn of words?   Obvious, in yer face, titles?

Post a graphic or simply a title of a really cool album.  Something clever, like my obvious choice would be ...

The Beatles, For Sale.

DUH!

... pretty fucking clever in its time and way out of the norm.

This one, too ...

Miles Davis also has a short run of albums, titled consecutively .......

Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (1956)
Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (1956)
Workin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (1956)
Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (1956)

He also did a series of releases from his concerts on the Isle Of Wight, named Message of Love, which was coincidentally one of Hendrix's last concerts and his work was titled Message to Love.  There may have been more of a connection, between these two artists, that history has shown us.

I often wonder.

What are some of the more intriguing albums in your view?

NO REVIEWS!!

Just cleverness shown in the titling or the graphics, please.

We can't forget this one .......

Most people did not know that the model was very pregnant when she posed for this cover.  She was almost not chosen. It could have been another brunette, but not one this sexy.

Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

A lot of his concepts are pretty good, but this might be my favorite.

I love pretty much any of the Yes covers, from
the 70's.
