i hate thanksgiving. my moms molestor husband is comming over and im drinking all the beer he bought yesterday today, then im gonna tell him to get to steppin' as soon as he trys to come over and there will probably be a physical altercation :laugh:

I am going to eat so much food at thanksgiving dinner that I pass out immediately upon finishing the meal.   I am a fucking glutton for that one day a year.

Not doing a turkey this year. Sitting at home quietly, preparing for a two AM start time at work, for me.

We will get together with the whole famn damily on Sunday and the three auties in the damily will be very overstressed at day's end.

(actually, I'm suspicious that we may have a fourth. I have a twenty year old niece with fairly severe developmental problems, who I barely know. She may also be a stealth ASD personality)

When I was growing up there was just Thanksgiving and Christmas  There was also Easter and a plethora of other unpleasant family gatherings. Thanksgiving isn't as ba as when I was younger everybody is spread out and all have families of their own.  Though my father is coming this year :brickwall:

I only dislike one of my relatives that visit during Christmas or Thanksgiving.   At least during Thanksgiving I get so full of food and drunk usually that I just pass out and don't have to deal with the relatives.   That is the benefit of being a glutton that day, I have an excuse to pass out on the couch and be left alone by everyone.

I tolerate these holidays, but I don't like them.  I agreed to attend Thanksgiving dinner with my cousin, great-aunt, and great-uncle, though I'd have been just as fine staying home and nuking some of the lentils and rice I made the other day.  Not that I mind seeing my relatives.  In any large group of people gathered for a meal, after about two hours I get the "social fatigue" that I'm sure quite a few of you are familiar with.

For Christmas, I'll be travelling and spending a couple of hours with lots of rowdy relatives.  I'll be glad when it's over.

I love Thanksgiving.  It's the one time of the year I get to see my whole family.  Speaking of which, I'll be gone until Sunday, that is if anyone cares.
