i just feel that a few elite have more of an influence over the direction of this site moreso than others.
i don't knoiw for sure since i haven't really been hanging around lately.

That will always be the case. Not because there is necessarily an actual elite as such, but because some people will always be better able to formulate and present their ideas and thereby get support for them. People simply aren't equal; those who are able to express themselves well have an advantage.

I think the question is more whether there's one individual at the top of the food chain, or a group, and how many in the group. Two (Dunc and Odeon) is better than one, but I don't know what's an optimal number. I do know that the group should represent varied opposing opinions, though, and that the key factor to watch for in each individual is how open they are to listening to others and having rational conversations during a time when they're pissed off.

True. I don't consider myself to be at the top of anything, though, and I don't control minds because of my position here. I'd like to think that whatever influence I have here is because I can express myself well enough.
