Just ate a slice of bread with fried mussels on it. Pre-cooked mussels out of a jar that is.. and for conservation reasons they put them in a water/vinegar/E-number solution which my system doesn't like very much/not at all. But but, what I do, like e.g. with canned artichoke also, I give them a proper rinsing first and let them 'swim' in fresh tap water, in a cup or sutin', for over half an hour after that.. so the acidity is mostly gone. Okay, that makes them taste a tadski more watery.. but hey.

Dropped the little søckers in a bowl with a stirred egg (pepper/salt) then and after that in a diff. bowl with breadcrumbs and toss them about a bit. I then repeat that procedure and fried them in 'me' wok with a touch of real butter. Um, love mussels and loved them fried even better so.

Blahiah.. (sørry)

some roast chicken, and a double portion of king prawns in spicy pepper sauce from the local chinky. Those things make my eyes water, but are completely irresistible.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

I'd like some fish and chips, too. :(

Better go outside and catch yourself some Swedish Fish!    :fish:

What color gravy?  A friend of mine from work says her mother-in-law used to make
breakfast gravy from bacon grease, flour, condensed milk, salt and pepper.  So it was white.  :orly:

Condensed milk or evaporated milk?  Condensed milk has sugar in it.

Probably evaporated then.  It sounded rich and delicious.  :)

Porridge, thick enough that the spoon could stand up.

That's one of the very few foods I cannot eat!
