Bodies soldiers are called soldaatjes in Dutch. (little soldiers)
In America we call it "bread". And "soft-boiled eggs"
Bread is what we buy at a bakery.
Cut up into thin strips, toasted or not, that's what turns bread into soldiers. You can line them up and pretend a parade happening.
quite right, also, when you cut them up, you will get three types (or ranks)
1. just bread = common soldier, or, as i was known 'a private'
2. bread with a crust on one side only = Non Commissioned Officers (mine are Corporals)
3. a corner crust = Commissioned big wigs (A 'General' would out rank a 'Brigadier' but my big wigs are always Brigadiers because i like the sound of it when i use my posh voice)
