Okay, ate this dish for dinner yesterday.. kinda promised CBC to post it here but forgot to do so yesterday..

(filled beef-roll with mashed potatoes, green beans and a simple salad)

It's a beautiful, hearty-looking meal, thanks for posting!

Lutra, you are sexy based on what you cook.

^ Good for you. Had the same job, in a restaurant called 'LA Café', when I was younger. Also 'was allowed' to make desserts and starters at times.

Recall the meals my colleagues and I ate together before the first customers arrived. Those were nice.

I have been curious, do you work now? Just wondering what it is you do and what you have done.

^ Don't have a job at the moment. I live off an inheritance I got after my rich autistic aunt died.

Quit the voluntary work I did then a little later. Um, that was working in and around a large greenhouse (on/in a huge asylum/institute) and basically did all the little jobs taking care of plants there but this in combination with guiding folks with varied mental troubles too. Some patients/clients, I worked with, I kinda miss but not so the staff there. What a bunch of behind the back going low-lives. Some of them more disturbed that some of the clients I had 'under my wing'. No fuckin' kid ya.

Um, blahiah.. done a lot of things/jobs trying to earn some money before and could go on writing some essay here but.. will shorten it and say.. that the jobs I enjoyed best were me working as a painter, a woodworker, a fixer of problems folks had in and around the house as the right hand of a contractor and working (grew to sub-manager there) in a big hardware store.

Although those jobs made me go frustrated and tired as hell at times (and feeling not really that healthy mainly/didn't know about me being HFA and the buggery I experienced cos of it) I look back on them and think.. yeah, I did a pretty good job mostly back then.

Well, kinda lead a boring life now.. which basically revolves around cooking, the internet, my piano, reading, gardening, a little bit of writing and painting oils and all the little stuff to keep up a small household.

You remind me of me. Some jobs were not good for my health either (and autism played its part too). Am glad you have a good life now, by the sounds of it. :)

Ate this meal half an hour ago. (pre-cooked Br. witloof rolled in slices of ham with grated cheese and breadcrumbs over them.. and this out of the oven. Plus mashed potatoes and gravy I still had from yesterday's sausages)
