The only thing worth mentioning would be the stone pears, that simmered for hours on the stove, the day before, to get them soft and red and yummy.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Breakfast: Raisin Bread
Lunch: Macaroni Salad
Dinner: A slice of pizza and 2 slices of garlic bread

I'm a wee bit obsessed with maraconi salad lately. I stumbled across the best recipe with tons of veggies, and I've been making it every week for months now. :P

This evening's dinner..

Not to brag big time here.. but made the beef-roll myself and it was f***in' delicious. Well, had a bit of an angry fit  :zoinks: whilst trying to make it work though, (the shallot/leek/carrot/basil/garlic filling kept falling out of it), but but recovered.. and wrapped the filling mixture in some slices of bacon first.. to wrap the thin beef in the opposite direction (of said bacon) after that. Um, that worked.

I love that you make these amazing meals even though you live by yourself. A lot of people don't bother unless cooking for a large gathering. Very cool.  :plus:

I made myself bacon and egg on a lovely tiger bread baguette.
Very tasty, surprisingly.

@ CG.. Thank you. Um, what to say?... Iz halfway obsessed with cooking now and well, it's something that gets me going a bit. Brings a little bit of meaning to my day, I suppose. (meh)

Not sure but don't think it's that uncommon. Single dude, over 30/35/40 y/o, time on his hands, starting to get really interested in cooking. Plus, but you're not totally unfamiliar with my views here, I know it's important to eat well. For me (a little extra.. for I iz spazz) but this goes for folks in general too.. and it seems a lot of them don't get that.

*edit to add.. 'not'.. I meant, not unfamiliar with.. (pfff)

Cool, since I have been living on my own for so long, I've been learning to cook and make my own dishes and the dishes that I love.  SURPRISE....I can make a great meal that I love without spending a lot of money to do it.   :viking:

Agree with both of you :) I made vegetarian quesadillas tonight. Corn, black beans, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and salsa. So easy to throw together that it has become a (favourite) weekly staple in my house.

A nice salad of mixed greens, turkey, ham, grated mixed cheeses, sunflower seeds, black olives, diced celery, cherry tomatoes, broccoli florets, thousand island dressing and buttery garlic crackers.

all sounds good , except the rye bread. I absolutely cannot stand rye bread.

Did you know that rye can get a fungus, and in that fungus natural LSD can be found ?

thats one crazy grain :D

Yes.  I remember reading the book about the 1950's outbreak, The Day of St. Anthony's Fire.
