PPK - ditto on the sourdough.  Toasted rye bread and butter is pretty good.

Actually it was on a sweet (as opposed to nasty sour dough) roll with regulat yellow mustard, onion, pickle and pepperocinis. Just because I live in Cali doesn't mean I like sourdough.  :zombiefuck:

You actually LIKE pepperocinis?  :zombiefuck:  They BURN! :flame:

But sweet rolls are nice.
As far as burn goes pepperocinis are rather mild. You may need to work on spice tolerance Mass. girl.  :zoinks:

I never tried rye like that. Raley's does have a pannini they call the Pacific that has rye, pastrami, cheese etc on it that is great.

So far today I have eaten turkey and spinach-and-artichoke hummus on pita bread, and I am now eating a little cup of raspberry Greek yogurt!  :headbang2:

There are assumptions that eating hot peppers make it easier to bear the heat, because they make you transpire, without raising your temperature.

So, it may be the rescue of the  :snowman: to eat it HOT.

Take it slow, and build it up. You may find yourself a lover of hot and spicy in a while.

Waffle and syrup and fried ham for b'fast.  Meatloaf, mustard greens, honeyed carrots and beet salad, for dinner.  Will snack later on with buttered biscuits and strawberry jam.

We're trying to eat healthier, but the kitchen is still too cluttered to cook effectively and I have a lot of "bad" stuff (e.g. biscuits) I need to have eaten somewhere along the line.

If you make changes gradually, it won't be such a chore! And an occasional buttered biscuit makes life grand!

A frozen vegetable pie because it was cold and rainy.

I should have reheated my homemade vegetable tart in the fridge for a healthier option, but I failed.

I also am craving the Homer Hudson chocolate brownie ice cream in  the freezer (and I never have much ice cream) but I can't eat it because I just ate hot and spicy noodles.....

hang on, wait....now that I'm typing that, I'm applying the logic that Indian Curry has yoghurt raita....hot and spicy noodles can't be too conflicting with chocolate ice cream!
