In India there are giant catfish in some of the rivers that have supposedly developed a taste for human flesh (people are often partly cremated and dumped in the headwaters of the Ganges, which supposedly releases them from the cycle of death and rebirth). And those catfish are rumoured to have been responsible for eating small children who were swimming in the river.

I saw this on the show "River Monsters" which I always assumed was a little bit embellished.

The legends of "man eating catfish" of monstrous size is also heard from the deep south.  They are primarily opportunistic bottom feeders and do have a wide mouth.

Wholemeal toast.  Orange marmalade.  Breakfast tea.

Ha! As soon as I read the first line I immediately thought "I saw that one River Monsters!!"

Made garlic noodles with parmesan and added French's fried onions on top. So damn good.

Dinner was good. I roasted parsnips, potatoes, bell peppers, and green beans and some Italian sausage.

Soft boiled eggs and marmite soldiers.  And a big cup of tea.

(Strange fact:  A US home is more likely to own a gun than have egg cups.)

I haven't even seen an egg cup in decades.

My daughter likes eggs over easy, as do I.

Thought egg cups were the stuff of movies, kings in castles with fancy golden egg cups.

Egg cups are useful if you like dipping strips of toast in soft boiled eggs while the shells are too hot to hold with your fingers.

That's about it.

I remember them from when I was a little kid. Okay, when I was young.

That's a running joke between me and my wife. When she says "when I was little" I just laugh and remind her that she is still little, so she changes it to "when I was young".

And, in my case, I was never little. My mother used to tell me about the funny looks she got when I was a baby and she took me to the changing room at a shopping mall, I was like 12 months but I was as big as a 3 or 4 year old.

Have seen people dip toast in sunny side up eggs, but always preferred meat and eggs well done. Can't recall ever seeing an egg cup in person.
