So it's pushing lunchtime and I don't do lunch or breakfast any more. Usually. If I'm hungry or if I'm just in the mood for something in particular then I will have lunch. Or a snack.
"Warrior Diet" I think it's called. Do all your eating in a 4 hour window. Prevents the usual overeating all day long.
It's a type of intermittent fasting. I still eat way too much chocolate but. It's probably not sustainable for most people, but for me it's easy because there's no special diet food to bring to work. A couple of big mugs of coffee with soy milk takes the edge off any desire for food. The usual advice is to eat everything in moderation, but I've been trying to do moderation for about 40 years and it still aint working.
I'm looking forward to a plate of mango chicken when I get home tonight. I made some last night but it was outside my 4 hour window. I hope the kids have left me some. They reckoned it was "almost" restaurant quality. Chopping up some chicken thigh and simmering it in a saucepan with a packet of sauce from the supermarket, then adding some cream at the end isn't really "cooking" to me. It's not much more difficult than sticking some frozen chicken nuggets in the oven for 15 minutes, or heating up a frozen lasagna from the supermarket in the microwave.
