I've done the exact same thing myself and it hurts like fuck.

The cables had 60's plastic insulation. Most of it had dried up and just fell off when touched on while there were parts that were still "sweating" off remaining moisture. The original installer had covered the 3-phase in the kind of shrink tubing that was common then. Bad idea. Had to replace all of it.
So was the problem harder to chase down because it was intermittent at first?

Yes, plus it was problematic because of very limited access. And the whole wiring looks a mess, regardless of age. The projector is close to 50 years old and some of the wiring was there from the start.

Oh, does that mean my access is very limited, and my whole wiring looks a mess.  I'm 62 years old and all of my wiring is original.

Not only is your access limited, you also risk future shorts. :orly:

Oh, dearie me.  Can you recommed a good short fixer?

Not really, but I know one or two long fixers.

I saw a bill-board announcing that channel.
Thought "Lutra" the moment I saw it.  :green:

Having seen some of the programs I must say I'm impressed. It's nice, okay and probs will teach and maybe motivate some folks to start to properly cook (for once). Chapeau, I say.

Although it's me whining a tadski here.. the leading man there tend to be a happy happy positivo and uses words (or phrases) like: zooo gezellig, helemaal toppie, wat een schitterende groente is dit toch, gewoon heerlijk vers, gezellie.. Um, I must be carefull not to start lactating watching him prepare food too often.  :laugh:²

Are you sure you can use language like that in front of ladies?

P. S. I think you meant salivating (having a juicy mouth), not lactating (giving milk)?

I only poke gentle fun (I hope) at the "mistakes" others make when English is not their native tongue.  I admire people like you, Hyke, Odeon, and Couldbecousin who learned a second language and can use it on a daily basis.  My crown is off to you, sir.

And the New England accent still baffles me at times.  A few years ago I was waiting in line in an ATM vestibule and
overheard a couple conversing in very thick Boston accents.  I really could have used subtitles then!

To be honest, QV.. I think you're a coward. I just see you following, pretending, catholic style.. and I just.. really really dislike that. Catholic/behind the back style.. um, it suits you maybe, dear queen victoria.. but....

Well, cheers, I say.. make sure you eat well, QV.. for that's really important.. being megalomanic/psychotic you appear to be..

Oh, I respect CBC, Hyke and Odeon.. why you're mentioning them here?

Lutra, where do you get the idea that QV is "megalomanic/psychotic"?!

As for me, I am pleased to be mentioned in a QV post, I like her humor and think she is awesome.  :viking:

This is something good from yesterday since I just woke up. I finished a 2.5 day major clean up and my place looks much better.  :seal: :eiffel:
