Just a genealization.  Keep it as simple as possible.  It makes cleaning/dusting easier and you can do more with accesories.  I actually love the Victorian fol-de-rol, but dusting it would be a bitch.  Also the same for your eating utensils.  The more design on the handle, the more spaces for food particles to hide an the harder it is to clean.  The Scandinavians are really quite sensible with their clean design esthetic.

Only other news from my realm:

My wife's car petered out, miserably. We replaced it. She has always wanted a luxury car (I have owned several, but she has not). We bought her a Lincoln Continental.

She is happy!!
