No I don't think they're gonna try again. Too risky. She went in again today to get checked out and is fine.

What does this all mean? I mean what happens when she is in season? I don't want that to happen. She's my fluffy little baby, she doesn't do The Sex :emosad:

• Your cat becomes more affectionate than usual

• Your cat rolls around the floor

• Your cat carries her tail to one side.

• Your cat becomes very vocal and meows a lot. (This is where the term 'Calling' comes from) This vocalisation can become very noisy with loud yowls day and night. Her voice may become more piercing than usual.

• Your cat assumes a position with her front quarters on the ground and her bottom pointing in the air.

• Your cat's hind legs may 'tread'

• Your cat licks her vulval area more than usual

• Your cat rubs her face up against you or furniture more often than usual.

• If you pat your cat on her back near her tail your cat will raise her bottom in the air and may begin 'treading' with her hind feet.

• If she is a cat who is usually kept inside she will be desperate to get outside, waiting for any opportunity to escape.

As far as vocalizations, she will find that the top of the stairs increases the volume and take full advantage of the fact.  Someone once described the vocalizations of a Siamese in heat as the sound of a baby being torn in two.  Pretty damn close.

Don't worry, Soph, it only occurs about twice a year.

Ah i hope the rabbit is getting better.  Never allowed to have one as a kid,  but always loved em.  There used to be one in our pet shop, and it was huge,  its feet were bigger than mine!  Very cute.  Hope the bunny pulls through  :pinkbeat:

She's been a bit more eager today. Still very weak but she likes the antibiotics. ;D

Still sending her love.  :)

Thank you. :)

She is recovering, it would seem.

There are oral contraceptives for cats too. And they will prevent her from coming into heat. You could ask your vet about them.

Only just saw about odeon's bunny wabbit. I hope she is ok soon and healthy and happy asap

hyke - will probably look into something like that. I'm sure my mum will ask about all that stuff . Right now I'm just glad she didn't die when her heart stopped. The vet said it was rare for that to happen then as usually it;s the breathing that stops if something goes wrong. Hopefully she won';t have to have any other operationss

My late cat never got castrated nor vaccinated, because the vet was afraid the critter would not survive any of those things. He lived far longer than anyone expected he ever could. Cats are tough.

Glad Jess came out OK.

Pretty much the same as a man on heat! :P
