Looks like it. She said today she was close to getting up again but fought the urge. Brave.
Here, it is my son. We bought him a new mattress set and two nights in a row he has had screaming panic attacks past midnight.
He does not remember anything.
I have very little with which to work through this, as yet.
How long did these attacks last?
... only about ten or twelve seconds each time, but they were quite "violent sounding."
I sat waiting for them to continue or to repeat each night, but they did not. I simply sat there for no reason, except that I was going to be right there for him if he needed me.
Apparently or more accurately, "parently," I am the only one who lost sleep.
Some of the anxieties of my girls never got further than the nightly sleeping stage. Comforting them in their sleep was enough. Telling them they were safe and at home. Making them feel that I was there, by touching them the way they liked to be touched.
Never minded the sleep I lost because of it. Feeling them relax, while being comforted in their sleep was a great thing.
Other anxious nights were about things that needed awareness to be able to overcome them.
