I got a truck with a trailer stuck in a parking lot once and I absolutely could not get it out of there.

As I became increasingly frustrated, a kind stranger offered to help me and he got it out of the parking lot.

One of the tricks I learned while driving a pick-up truck, backing a trailer is a lot easier if you turn around and watch the tail end of the trailer, while steering with your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel. That way, when you see your trailer's tail end needs to go a certain direction, you simply move your steering hand the same direction you want the trailer to go.

Plus I just noticed the karma thingy.  How does it work? ^^

When you yay or ghey someone, you need to tell why. At the bottom of the index page, next to the Stats link, there's a link to the karma log that shows who's yaywd or gheyed whom, and why. Also, in your profile, there are links that show who you've yayed or gheyed, and who's done that to you.

I think the mod is completely in the spirit of this site.

Why do I get this message when I try to see who gave me karma?

"Sorry - you don't have the proper permissions to view the Karma Description list."

I discovered this little handy "procedure"  when I was about twenty, during an adaptive, eureka moment, trying to think my way through a frustrating situation much like the one you have described. I find that doing it this way removes at least one level of delay in the "sensory-to-mental calculation-to-coordinated muscle movement"  system function, by allowing me to sort of graphically tie the required muscle commands directly to the sensory input.

Hey, it DOES work.

My new glasses will take some degree of acclimation.
They make me want to throw up, but I can once again read the designer's initials on the shoulder of Lincoln's bust on a one cent coin.
Haven't seen those letters in several years, without using a loupe or something.

It's kind of funny, when I put them on I feel drunk, because everything sort of "bends."
