It's a hoax. As many have pointed out, it would be quite easy to prove that the thing works. Instead, there's only a single news media reporting about it, namely www.baytoday.ca. Nobody else, except for the sites linking to it...

Not to mention that someone at MIT would have published something about it by now.

The inventor is even concerned about the money-making possibilities of "god light", the angel light, next generation thingy, and is thinking about selling it at eBay...  ::)

I want to become a teacher and a psychologist, and also have kids.  And I also definitely want a mate that has a life dream that they are pursuing with all their heart.  However having kids while both parents are pursing earthshattering(at least in important to them) life dreams, would be folly.  So, in light of that i'd prefer to have a mate with an earth shattering life goal who would be willing to pursue their dream and let me stay home and raise the kids (and maybe work part time when i can).  That would be a whole mess o' fun.

I'm sure you have already thought of this, but have you tried sitting in a chair in her room quietly while she goes to sleep to reassure her that there is nothing to be afraid of?  What exactly is she afraid of?

Dying, murderers, strange sounds in the night, various diseases... You name it, she's afraid of it.

And yeah, we've tried that, too. The sleep I got last night (about 2.5 hours, I think) was in a makeshift bed outside her room...
