I'm more inclined to talk about quantum physics as a philosophy of sorts. There is a very exact science behind the mumbo-jumbo and yet the ramifications are more about philosophy, to many physicists, than science per se; but yes, they also do have things in common with Eastern mysticism.

aha!  see, QC, i told you. 

I just wanted to see what he had to say because I know he doesn't believe in an afterlife or anything like that, and he studied/likes physics (which he often uses to "disprove" things of a supernatural/mystical nature). I myself am very spiritual.

That course had everything, from some lovely math to existential philosophy. And yes, mysticism, too. Quantum physics rocks. 

I took a course called Philosophical Orientation to Education, and a guy in my class did a presentation on quantum physics for a project. It sounded very interesting.

Perhaps another subject I should add to my list of things I want to study on my own.

Thanks- I'm sure I will be- there's other stuff bugging me but the main two are that I'm missing something (which I will not name in case I cause offence again ) and my 3 year old who decided that 5:15 was a good time to get up this morning (since it was 3 before I got to sleep I wasn't impressed).

Offence to me...or just people generally.  I assume you mean generally.  Mmm, being woken up before you are ready is not good....well, sometimes VERY good, but not in the particular case you described!
