It's the US's busiest airport and is notorious for it's delays in takeoff's and landings.  When you want to get someplace by flying, O'Hare is best avoided.

I'm really glad I got so much done, yesterday. If I had "waited until Monday" nothing would have happened and I would still have it alll to do. Mother nature is about to level a serious bitch, in my general direction.

Hope you feel better and before the trip back!  As for airports, I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid Chicago, just prepare for the worst, as per delays.  Lots of reading materiel and music are my best defense.  That and making sure all your flight info is current.  You'll probably have a smooth journey back.  Since they have tried to cut down on traveller problems thru O'Hare over the last couple of years.
