That compressor plugin of mine is awesomely CPU-efficient. Why can't the limiter be atleast near as much so? Granted, it does two compression stages rather than one, but the way it's implemented, that does not warrant a difference that size. Silly compiler optimizations... It's rather hit-and-miss; shuffle around the code a bit and hope for the best. Maybe I should make more extensive use of inline-assembly.
