16 is a neat number; my favorite power of two, and a power of four as well. Also, a two's complement signed 16-bit value has a range from -32768 to +32767; these numbers both contain three very nice digits, namely 2, 6 and 7.

I thought of "barbarian boy-toy of the greedy little git of the Anti-emo Task Force", but, decided to keep it simple! ;)
