I figured that since I'm a person, I qualified as teh enemy.  (This is aside from the fact that IRL I personally would almost definitely take someone hugging me mid-rant on any topic as a way of invalidating my anger and therefore making fun of me.)

  I'm not that male. I prefer to seek out the best of both worlds. The annoying part is your talent for obfuscation. If I could just write you off as an enigma resolved, I would get bored and move on, since we don't actually have that many common interests.
