The sheer variety of pills I am taking has increased, its harder to ignore what I am doing to myself.  It might not be ok, but  I am never sick.
One of these times I may not be so lucky, and someone else might not be either.  Perhaps we will find later that is ok, but I may never find out.
I really just want my autonomy, this is just how I bad it is.

Playing with neural nets and thinking about how the short-term memory of humans and other animals is probably quite simple, and might consist of open spirals of neurons which pass a signal along the chain one neuron at a time while also continuously feeding it to a local perceptual neuron cluster until it reaches the end of the spiral and is lost.  Some signals on open spirals could be diverted back to the beginning of the spiral or to closed loops of neurons for medium-term storage.
