that's what I figured. Can't remember what this thing is called, but
it allows you to run across networked machines, over multiple OS's.
Really handy, in some cases.

I came to this world with nothing
and I leave with nothing but love,
everything else is just borrowed.

Fuck it, we'll do it live.

Hippy commiefag pinko fairyworm queer desktop ...

[removed]

I got to thinking that there is too much info on it, even though I dumped the obvious personal ones to the bin, temporarily. It could still have been researched. I'll clean it up and re-post, later.

Don't judge me.
Why would we judge you? Because you use Internet Explorer? Or Outlook Express? Or iTunes? Or because you have that background? Nah, don't be silly, judging is not what we I do. :)

Because I custom made myself a desktop with pictures of my celeb crush (the guy in the foreground).  I was tempted to use at least one shot of just hi (there's a great one I found at one point) but figured this background was sort of justifable as I genuinely like the band's music.  It's just that the lead singer is also gorgeous.
As an aside, I have a friend who loves vintage trent reznor.  She just got a new laptop, and I helped her chrissen it with a custom Trent background.  She was quite pleased.

My desktop is also custom made. It was originally a screenshot from a multiplayer game of Halo3 (probably by the guys at Bungie) and I added the text to it. Most of backgrounds are custom made, I enjoy doing them :)

Nothing to judge negatively there ;)

I change my background relatively often, but this is the one I have up now:

i keep the icons hidden.

i like Kevv's and Alex's. very nice, dudes.

I have most of my shortcuts on the Quick Launch bar, not so that they are hidden, but so they are more handy and better organized. I actually have folders within folders that open up as menus on the QL.

Most of the stuff on my desktop is stuff I either use first or I put there for my wife, like our banking log-ins because she hates to navigate multilevel menus.

i've all but switched to kate, now, cos it integrates so nicely with kde. emacs is still the best for c programming, though.

heard of it but since it's not free and nobody's offered to pay for it, i've seen no reason to try it. most payware i have is paid by someone else.
