I'm jealous of people who have a car. I don't care if it's a Geo Metro or a Jaguar XKR. I'm still equally jealous.

I used to be quite interested in cars. But my circumstances has dulled my enthusiasm considerably.

And I think USA is too reliant on automobiles IMO.

I shouldn't have to walk five blocks to the nearest bus stop or have to sit in a bus for an hour to get to a place that is only 10 minutes away.

If it's only 10 minutes away, why would  you have to sit on a bus for an hour to get there?
Why wouldn't you just sit on the bus for 10 minutes? Or skip the bus entirely and walk?   :scratchhead:

Because of the bus route. And I don't think I can handle walking the whole way from my home to the community college.

How long is it walking?   :orly:

Too long and too dangerous. I could do it, but when I get there, I'll be tired and unable to focus.

Well, the bus looks like the better option. Sometimes you just have to do the least annoying thing to get where you need to be.  :viking:

Yeah. It's just 1 dollar (or 75 cents if you have a bus pass) per trip.

If you crossed the street and caught the bus on the other side, would that shorten the trip?   :orly:

I already do that. It wouldn't shorten the trip by much due to the fact that the downtown transfer station is somewhat close to my home.

I once bought a car for about a week's minimum wage and it lasted for almost a year.

A cheap, beat around car can be had for very little money, while you work and save for a better car or a house or a really good party.

Me in the hospital, plus my brain waves.  The brain waves segment is sped up by a factor of 10, just in case you think I've overdone the dexamphetamine.

I hope that some of these tests help in some way, Peter.

Godspeed!

Are the stimulants to be discontinued with the new knowledge of seizures?

Possibly; it'll discuss it with the neurologist.  The seizures are actually considerably milder and less frequent when I'm on the dexamphetamine, and they tend to occur in the evening, when the dexamphetamine is wearing off, rather than at any time of the day as is the case when I'm not taking it.  Dexamphetamine is a fairly selective stimulant; it directly stimulates the dopamine system, which in turn has an mixture of excitatory and inhibitory effects on other brain regions.  If the seizures were originating in the indirect pathway of movement for example, which receives an inhibitory signal from the substantia nigra, which is part of the dopamine system, a moderate dose of dexamphetamine would suppress seizures in this region by increasing the inhibitory signal.  Dexamphetamine begins to have a more general stimulatory effect at higher doses, so increasing the dose would eventually trigger seizures rather than suppress them, but I seem to be at a comfortable distance from that threshold at my current dose.
