They have recently pressure washed the entire inside and put on some kind of silicone sealer to help preserve it.

A Trillium living a little too close to the road.


Trilliums are really interesting, because they develop in threes - three leaves, three pistols, three petals, three major veins in the stalk, three of everything.

Dicentra cucullaria  (Dutchman's Britches)


These aren't mine. They were in the park. I have managed to grow these from seed in my garden. They are not yet ready to bloom, as they are on my north wall, but I will get a few pics when they do. Mine are more yellow, than white.

If you don't know, just the collecting of seed from these treasures is a horticulturists challenge. Getting them to germinate is beyond hope, almost.

I think I saw something like used, somewhere, and it was so funny because it was repeated several times and therefore had the exact opposite effect.
