I suppose a perfect day would be waking up after a good night's sleep to a sunny summer day spent mostly at home, a part of it writing and reading, and another part doing things with my my family. And it would be nice to end the day by screening a newly restored 70mm print, preferably "Ben Hur" but any good 70mm film will do, at the Draken theatre in Göteborg, getting back home around midnight and be able to fall asleep without having to obsess over stuff for hours on end.

Oh, and a trip to the bookstore sometime during the day would be nice, too.

For the record, some of the above happens every now and then, so I consider myself fairly lucky. Also, there's lots of detail that I won't go into here, and stuff that I would like to have resolved for that really perfect day to happen.

How's your vacation?

It's OK, except that I wasn't really planning on spending the nights reading Intensity through a dial-up connection. It's an obsession of sorts right now.

I was kind of the same way on my vacation, reading Intensity² and a couple of other sites on my husband's computer late at night while the rest of the family slept.

It can be pretty fascinating reading, can't it?

Are you seeing fun sights or doing fun things in the daytime?

I'm spending the days with my family, mostly boating or swimming or both, at my father-in-law's summer place. There's also time to read and do nothing with a beer in hand. And, of course, Intensity when everyone else's asleep.

Right now, Intensity's my way of relaxing because while the summer place is nice and all, it's hard to get the time you need for yourself. There's simply not enough room.
