Using combination of solar, tidal, hydro and thermoelectric power generation plus that available from rivers to prepare hyrides and use those for fuel, as well as direct methanol fuel cells and microbial fuel cells would help.

Solar energy, via electrolysis stored in a hydrogen/oxigen "battery". Decentralized energy making. Every household/apartment-complex becomes an energy producing unit.

What about massive sulfuric acid/vanadium based redox cells? those are rechargable with sulfuric acid addition, and we have access to plentiful sulfuric, sulfuric di- and trioxide, from volcanic fumaroles etc.


I am given to favouring a combined approach, including tidal generators, river-mouth redox devices, wind and solar farms, with lenses focused on  the solar cells, and using cell material that can take infra-red, in the near IR range.

It's certainly interesting when compared to some other technologies, but you still need to charge them.
