I was with you and mostly in agreement, until you reached this point. However, there is no way I can agree with this statement, because I have no clue what it means. Can you re-phrase or order the words differently or choose alternates or help me with some context?

Okay, well i don't know really, i can only relate things to my own personal experiences.
But i used to think i was schizophrenic ( i was quite confident - paranoia, delusions, hallucinations), but even at my worst, the 'experts' knew that i wasn't and sussed it out quickly too.
I just think you have to be careful in self-diagnosis of anything. If there is any doubt, then it is best to go to see someone with many years of training in the area.
Also, there are people i have seen posting (not here but other places) that they are self diagnosed with asperger at the age of 17 or less. I think that's ridiculous really, but that's the other extreme. I don't think i had the self-awareness to diagnose myself with anything until i was about 28, obviously people are different, but most people don't get out of medical school before 21.
 
Anyway, my point is that you can't diagnose yourself with anything ( AS, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, whatever) unless you know exactly who you are and what the criteria is.
