I think a lot of folk still like being able to stand and vote on site issues and for each other (excluding arsewipes who cant be trusted with admin access, anyway). If you want to press the point, feel free to start a poll asking folk if they want to scrap elections. if they do, you were right. if they don't they just didn't want the wc any more. i don't much mind either way, I just prefer it when posting on the site doesn't give me a headache.

Know of a good, non D-Link, ADSL 2+ modem/router combo? I kind of like a Linksys I've been reading about, with N-draft and all that, but then, Netgear actually has a good reputation.

Not off the top of my head mate - I don't pay much attention to hardware unless I need an upgrade - my slightly dodgy D-Link is still doing its job. I'm poor, you know.
