First trimmer I've bought in over 10+ years.

Usually I pick them up all the time, but this year when mine started it's death rattle after 6+ years of abuse there hasn't been one salvageable one to be found. 

I predict that on the next 3 trash days I will find one...or 2...or three of the little fuckers.

I never used to buy  them either but with the over abundance of scrappers around the last few years they have been harder and harder to find. They take everything a lot of which could still be used and scrap it i find it kinda sad . Currently I am using a broken electric one and have to cut and knot the line every time it breaks

Same here, pickings are slim...some of the stuff I see them taking to the yard they could flip for double+ what they're getting with a little effort if they wanted to.  Most don't care though, it's faster to scrap it.
