Finally bought my daughter a desktop computer.  It should come about 8/20.  Her laptop was rode hard and put up wet, and she wanted a big monitor like Mommy and Daddy have.  Now she gets to find out about buying things on credit (via our account).

Eight, eighteen-inch B&C drivers to help out a "friend's"  club PA system. (They are reimbursing me) I am not building the enclosures, this time. I am merely overseeing the construction at a local cabinet shop. I have a feeling that these "furniture builders"  are capable of doing a far better job than my minimalist toolset is capable of.   For instance, I suggested butt joints with cleats and they immediately upgraded to rabbet joinery with cleats for even less than I had expected to pay.

I got a great price on the drivers, at three hundred per, but we are actually saving about one thousand dollars in having the enclosures built. They will have four kick-ass, dual eighteen bass cabinets for less than eight thousand bucks plus around three thousand more for proper amplifier power after a couple of more gigs.

In the present economy, this cabinet shop is so grateful for the work that I can not imagine that they agreed to build these four, fairly complex, PA enclosures for the price they quoted.
