I'm supposed to be getting to 1960's Geiger counters waiting to hear when to pick them up

Very cool.

You know some people bought them to keep in their fallout shelters during the late fifties and early sixties.

:D

Yes I collect stuff from that era it fascinates me

I bought "LA Story" on DVD. Incredibly cheap. Am I the only one to like that film?

No, not at all. That's a good find.

I had to check the IMDb to remind myself which one that was, but I like that one a lot. I would certainly buy it if I found it used or discounted.

I don't really need to though, because our library has that one.

Yeah it is fascinating, but aren't our countrymen weird?

My brother used to collect gas masks and contained breathing apparatus stuff from that era. His display area was creepy as fucck!

I think I paid round $5, USD.

Yeah, that's a bargain, I'd say.

My "favorite store" sells any name brand studio DVDs, used, for six to ten bucks. When I was flush with cash I would stop there about once per week, but they turn over so much stock that if you see something you might want, you better take it, because it won't be there tomorrow.

I have bought most of my DVD collection used, but it's been about three years since any top movie was five bucks.

I have not really ignored you, here, but I just don't know what to say.

"Congratulations," seems so weak. I am simply GAh GAh, as they say. I truly hope that it DOES go well for you.

Oh, and I bought a book today: "Amsterdam" by Ian McEwan. I have an unhealthy fascination for his writing.

I'm still trying to work out why this would be an unhealthy fascination.

Well, it is (I present to you exhibit A, "Saturday"), but he's a bloody good writer. Even "Saturday" is actually a terrific read if you get past the fact that it's really about nothing else than his musings on the post 9/11 London.
