Nice!

My son found and grabbed a set of 007 movies for me at a garage sale.

He aslo came home with a small hatchet for his collection.

I usually find the better deals lately at the thrift shop Dad used to be Santa Claus for during Christmas.

I found some higher grade gardening tools at a combined community yard sale. Bought the lot.
A nice shovel, grubbing hoe, cultivator and a couple of rakes.

I have taken pride in the fact that as a solid citizen living in Indiana, I buck the system by not even owning a fucking leaf rake.
I do not rake leaves as is a nightmarish obsession with most Hoosiers when fall approaches.
I "placement compost" my leaves, in place, using a mower designed for the purpose.

On the other hand, I tend to seek out high quality tools, even have an appreciation for an Amish made leaf rake. I now own a leaf rake.

WTF am I ever going to do with this thing?  :hahaha:

Actually, I can use it after the work with the grubbing hoe and cultivator is done in my garden beds.

I have approx 5 blowers in my shed, 2 electric, 3 gas (one backpack style)...1 rake.

I never rake.

10 bags of 'just in case' insulation that I ended up not needing on the job today

I have two blowers, both battery operated and really quiet compared to some. I get most use from my favorite from just blowing away sawdust from my tools, bench, around the buffer and some leaves that have blown near my computer (sit down and fuck off) station.
I use the computer a lot when I am building speaker systems, so it has a home near my tools.
It IS a tool.

While I'm usually up at on it by 4AM or 5AM, I don't begin the annoying neighbor thing until after 8AM. Unless I have reason to do otherwise.
So far, here, no reason to.

The most annoying thing I have done, while living here, is to have accepted delivery of a pallet of mulch from Lowe's at 7AM. They were on time and I reordered. Those guys are in it to win it with their daily jobs. But the truck backing up noise could be heard for blocks!

Coincidentally it sounds just like my alarm. Maybe one reason why I always wake up about five minutes before my alarm goes off. My wake-up alarm sounds like I am about to be backed over by a truck.

Stopped at a yard sale ...

Picked out two old claw hammers (I have plenty) that were from the forging age, one needs the handle to be replaced, the other is usable right now.

A pipe thread tap set from who knows when, still in its creosoted wooden case, eight sizes up to 2" and complete. It smells like a telephone pole, but what beautiful tools! These are NYE brand and they will still cut you if you handle them clumsily.

A wonderful willow bentwood woven basket for my daughter.

A CD collection of the Ken Burns, "The Story Of America's Music"  Jazz volume. Only volume they had, but I would have bought them all in this pristine condition.

I spent twenty five bucks!

Yard sales were a bust here today.  I walked away from an estate sale after seeing the guy running it take stuff that was in the photos online and put it in his car before the sale started little to bait and switch for me
