I bought a new steel firepit to replace the homemade concrete brick one I built last year.

This one will be SO nice!

Pics?

It's nothing fancy.
We went shopping locally with high hopes of finding something awesome and spending some cash on a more permanent solution. Found that all of the ones commercially available were built the same in the $100 to $600 dollar price range. Not based upon build quality or esthetics.
The price scale was based on added amenities or accessories included.
The pits were about the same build quality and structural stability, no matter where we shopped. Plus, they were all made in China, possibly from just a few of the same types of companies re-branded for Lowe's or Home Depot or At Home box stores.

OK, so we went to Amazon and found one we could tolerate. It was cheap and it will do fine for a couple of years, I'm sure.

It is this item, but we bought an accessory stand that bolts to the side for an additional, removable and adjustable grille surface above the fire. I will use that to heat buns, but no reason not to bring out a steak and ramp things up a bit from franks, brats, Kielbasa and buns.

The outside ring is three feet in diameter.

I bought potted tulips to give to each of the ladies this weekend. They're very pretty and a great price. They make our kitchen look so spring fiesta.  :2thumbsup:

Groceries. Made my monthly Aldi run. A few months back I decided I'd rather drive the distance to try out shopping there than to potentially keep running into people I'd rather avoid around here at WalMart.

Really should have done this years ago. I'm totally hooked now. They have some great stuff.

I had a similar experience a couple years ago shopping for clothes at Ross. I never knew they were a closeout store and always assumed stuff there was expensive. I have no fashion sense, plus I'm cheap and I also don't like much of anything, so I'm amazed every time I go there by all the nice things I find at such great prices. I've always struggled with buying clothing, and wish I had found them years ago. I also love Aldi. I probably buy 90% of our food there and would recommend them to anyone.

Sounds like me.  I really struggle when it comes to clothes...hate it all unless it's black or looks like it fell out of some hippie van from the 70's (I have a horrible weakness for all things tie dyed).  :autism:

I describe my personal style as funeral attire.  :lol1: It works out well because I'm always dressed nice, and I usually feel dressed appropriately unless I'm at the beach.  :zoinks:

Golf balls. They tend to go missing. No Tiger Woods, me.

How are yours marked?

I find golf balls in my flower beds all the time.
I often just throw them back onto the course at random just as an Agent of Chaos might do.

Blue and white sounds amazing. Is Akira camera shy? If not, bless us with an image or two?

Yep... he's about 2 to 3 months old, I'm waiting until at least Wednesday to introduce him to Yoko (my yellow Budgie)

Young bird. And he's cute, good choice. I hope the introduction goes well.
