The battery dilemma is over. I ordered batteries from Amazon right after I posted that about not being able to find batteries at stores, fully expecting them to be back ordered and they were here this morning.

I have fallen in love with the tiny automated LED stick ups, but they all use AAA size.

I can tell you a whole lot more about my need for AAA batteries when we have time.
It is actually interesting to know that I have more than one remote that also requires AAA batteries. This will be an engaging discussion.

hmm. i noticed somebody asked if the above is a genuinely new member or no?
me, i think it matters not.  He clearly crawled out of the same swamp as some old members. The  species are effectively interchangeable, having zero detectable individuality .

But to get back on topic:
i bought a large pack of triple-A batteries . but can't recall which device they fit.
if someone could provide a handy checklist of AAA-driven devices, , i could perhaps identify the device, then  watch it in rapt anticipation of it's failure, thus justifying my seemingly superfluous purchase. 
i'd be so very grateful. truly, and i also thoroughly relish the ""FUCK YOU ALL" response that might possibly engender.
