I like the taste in attire QV. Used to have a bird myself actually, a big black rook or raven that I'd taken in after it'd been shot.
As for anything that carries me off to the arms of Morpheus, don't you worry about that either. I pretty much have him on speed dial
Speaking of whom, I ought to go pay him a call, so to speak. Most of my non-stomach-oriented rx meds have some form of sedating character. About 8-9 or so of my meds are in some way, sedating in character, if you include the slightly sedating (to me, some people find it quite a lot so) pramipexole, a dopamine agonist, that I take for RLS then add another one to the list, that includes things not typically rx'd as sedatives, like my pain meds, then its closer to 11 atm, so don't need to worry about that.
And that includes nothing that isn't actually around to hand now, but that I could whip up given a few hours and a bit of work at the bench if I really needed something to knock me out, or old fashioned things that happen to have other uses, like ether. I've got a few wee recipes tucked away up in my mental filing cabinets that you could stun a horse with, and a handful of pretty strong opiates I could call upon in the same manner if I needed to get out the cauldron and make with the eye of newt, some mandrake root and frog's eyeballs, with a few black candles to heat things up and borrow your broomstick (just teasing of course
) to stir things with.
Already have a couple of morphine scripts on infinite repeat, and theres potential in there too, quite a lot of things morphine can be turned into to give it a hefty serving of added kick, some of them better known than others, but most of them pretty potent; and a couple of really long lasting, damn strong ones too, including one that lasts for up to about 15-16 hours, and the odd trick for enhancing yield, like using, for one I have in mind, a scratched electroplated nickel-silver serving-spoon as a reaction vessel to boost yields via some sort of catalytic effect at the interface between the nickel and the silver plating on the surface. Don't know HOW that one works, but it does for making morphine diacyl esters and 6-monoacyl esters. You can find some rather interesting little gems tucked away in forensics journal publications at times
and that was one of them.
