Too many meals from out.

She had surgery yesterday. I've sent her a message letting her know that I'm thinking of her but I haven't heard back. Might have to call my mum and ask her what's going on.

I was at a hospital (different one from the one my sister went to) for Kayleigh's injured finger. She's fine, just has to wait for her nail to grow back.

Mostly food and drinks, lately.

I bought a "Parma" chicken schnitzel, with hot chips (french fries), at a food court near work.

First and last try of that place. It was just a small piece of chicken breast, crumbed and fried, with some melted cheese on top. And some tomato pesto. And a tiny serve of fries.

It was also obviously designed for someone with a small appetite. A young woman on a diet maybe. For about the same price I can get a much bigger meal anywhere else.

The place didn't have many customers but they had a huge number of people working there. Must have been around 10 people in a little food court place. 2 taking orders, 3 putting the orders together, and at least 5 in the back cooking and preparing. And it took bloody ages to get my order.

The kebab place next to it does about 3 or 4 times the turnover with about 4 people. Considering the rent and the wages they should be paying, I'm surprised they manage to stay open.

Re Prague, I lived in Ljubljana (in Slovenia) for a year. I've heard it described as "the new Prague". Which seems a big silly. It's a nice little city with some nice old buildings but it's nothing special compared to other European cities that I've been to.

I really loved Budapest. That was an awesome city, food and architecture and beer and saunas and all that sort of stuff. First time I went there was early winter and it snowed a little bit. 2nd time I went there was early summer and the pollen count was ridiculous, I don't normally get allergies but I did in Budapest. My ex was really suffering with allergies. I really liked Zagreb too. Both those places had MUCH better food than Slovenia. I mean unless you are really into horse meat, Slovenian food was kind of crap.

I never made it to Prague. Quite likely never will now. I want to take my family on a trip to Europe one day but Prague isn't high on the list of places we want to go.

^Prague should be. It's beautiful, it's full of history, and it's cheap. It's one of the most worthwhile destinations in Europe.

Did I mention that I love Prague?

A $124.00 part (inverter board) for my dead fridge...it will be in Wed.

Let's hope I've narrowed this down correctly after spending all day youtubing, wrestling the 200 lb+ behemoth out from the wall, taking meter readings, fighting off furry assistants, and cleaning the inside.

Right now I'm done, it's parked in the middle of the kitchen and it's staying right. fucking. there. :roar:
SO says one thing and I'm throwing the crisper drawer at him. :zoinks:
