Bought a new E-fag, since I couldn't find the bollocksing twuntocks of a battery I had. It works, but its gone AWOL.
Plus a bottle each of cherry and of apple flavour, 24mg/ml nicotine solution for it. The apple one I've not tried until now, not bad.
Those fucking batteries though generally, are awful. Remarkably high fail rate. Not had one explode on me yet though.
Although I have once had one moments away from igniting, after my old man 'did me a favour' and stripped the metal casing off of one then tossed it in my lab whilst I was watching TV. Lithium batteries, don't play well with being gutted and thrown in somebody's crotch. They have a strong tendency towards rapid oxidation in air within moments, getting hotter and hotter and eventually catching fire.
You won't USUALLY see me grab something smoking and glowing red hot from between my legs, and running with it in my bare hands hell for leather for a tub of petroleum spirit then dunking it in same, muttering and grumbling, to breath a sigh of relief, followed by my comitting an act of surgery upon said hot battery core, but on that occasion it had to be done. Normally when I fillet lithium batteries in order to retrieve the lithium, its done entirely under a bowl full of petrol or white spirit, without scrabbling between my legs and with much, much less swearing involved.
I've got a growing bag full of un-spent lithium batteries, that in some way have failed, contacts shot, etc. and they are ALL, each and every one of them e-fag batteries that gave up the ghost on me. I keep them when they do though, as I am a big believer in recycling:P at least, when I know its not going to a landfill in china, and there is a decent piece of lithium in there as thin foil, which is perfect for doing in-situ Birch-Benkiser reductions, when the anhydrous ammonia is not condensed to a cryogenic liquid, but rather is bubbled into diethyl ether, kept on an ice/salt/antifreeze bath until one gets the royal blue of solvated electrons, or lithium bronze in more concentrated solution, and once preformed, substrate, dissolved in ether is added with just a dash of alcohol to serve as a proton source. The thin foil reacts quickly, compared to lithium added as chips or little chunks bit by bit.
