haggis - yum!

i've only had veggie haggis, but a kilt-wearing friend (long story, great shag) tells me it's pretty much the same as the meaty version.  and it's delicious.
If the whole point of haggis is the innards of a - sheep, is it? - then how can veggies compare?

Well, haggis has quite a lot of barley in it, and the offal is probably fairly easy to simulate with meat substitutes because of it's smooth texture.

yep - it's the spices, flavourings and grains (barley, oats, etc) which are the main things, apparently.  whatever it is, i bloody love veggie haggis.  when i can get hold of them, i grab them, cook them and then slice and freeze them.  (and they're always cheap as chips on the 26th of january, lol).

How are you gonna attract all the little girls from your favourite porn site, MacKenzie? With Milkybars and Dairylea?

When did I say it was my favourite porn site?  I just picked a link at random from my list of free porn galleries.  If you want to make that sort of judgement about my tastes, ask for a list of my favourite models.

Sorry, Mackenzie, I'm just joking around, so don't take it personally.

So, you don't entice them with your Jesus Juice?

Nice texture, good bit of protien, fine on the old GI tract.  Bit pricey though.

If there was no age of consent law, what is the minimum age of girls you would consider doing it with?

yeah, that's about what i thought.  tastes good too, i reckon - i've trying out various milk substitutes, and the quinoa one is rather nice (i'm sticking to the oaty one, though, cos soya is a fucking nightmare - talk about windy city, and with IBS, that's no joke).

which reminds me - there's all this talk of soy being a superfood, etc., yawn, and then there's all these horror stories about soy.  what say you?  personally, i'm not bothered, cos of the afore mentioned gas problem, but i'd like to know your take on it  (even if you ARE a raving paedo).

None with a mental age less than yours, anyway.

I've never tried quinoa milk; just the seed itself, and I don't remember it having much flavour, though in a nice way.

Soy is rather an open question.  It's a bean that requires a lot of processing before it's edible, which isn't a good sign.  Also, despite all the claims of 'Japanese people eat lots of soy and live forever', they don't actually eat much soy (traditionally, anyway); just the few grams you get in soy sauce, not the big platefuls of textured soy protien that are marketed to westerners.  You mentioned that it gives you a lot of wind, so you're obviously struggling to digest it, and with concerns over aluminium (from the manufacturing process; for some bizarre reason it seems they didn't get the memo on not using aluminium pots to process acidic mixtures in), and high phytoestrogen levels (of unknown pharmacalogical effect), I'd generally stay away from it.
