What do you do when you need to stimulate your creativity?
Are you getting good results for your research project?
1. It's usually either there or it's not. If I want to write I usually put some metal album on itunes that I don't know the words to, chew some gum, and try to force myself to write.
2. Actually I kind of did. We reached statistical significance for a couple of things. Percieved attractiveness highly correlates with positive feelings towards other people, and face-to-face interaction may be less intimate (defined as emotionally intesne) than computer interaction. Additionally, emoticons may also make interaction less emotionally intense. The stipulated reason for this is that with less nonverbal signals, people have to project more into the message they're reading, and the messages then feels more intense. The intimacy aspect was the main purpose of the thesis, and our findings are a little mixed, but my thesis advisor thinks we do have some support for our hypothesis (as I stated it) and that this study might be worthy do to again with more people, and see if that makes the findings stronger. I think it would, but I ain't doin' it.
