What do you think came first the chicken or the egg?
My reply to this can be summed up in two sentences.
"The chicken and the egg are lying in bed and the chicken is smiling and smoking a cigarette. The egg, pissed off, says to herself, "Well, I guess we answered that question!"
What's the weirdest thing you've done as kid?
Considering how much I hate bugs, it was probably when I tried to transport ants from one anthill to another and put sugar on top of the hill so they'd all make friends. I forget how young I was but this was, I think, developmentally appropriate thinking (as in, the sort of dumb thing almost any little kid might think to do.)
A little less weird but cooler was when I planted bird seed in my sandbox. I didn't think birds would grow; I just liked gardening with my grandmother when I was little and thought a plant would grow. My grandmother and mother were sure nothing would grow. They were wrong. Little grazzy sprouts came up. They still talk about how amazing they found it, because not only was it just birdseed, but it was a frigging SANDBOX it grew in!
