In organic red stars with potassium chlorate as the main oxidizer and chlorine donor and strontium nitrate as the colour donor you usually have the same percentage of potassium chlorate and strontium nitrate, usually around 38% of each.

In the UK, Japan and other countries strontium nitrate is often not used, though, due to the high air humidity in those countries and the hygroscopic nature of strontium nitrate. Instead strontium carbonate is used, but then the potassium chlorate percentage must be almost the double while the carbonate must be less than half.

Tyson Mitchell of Iowa City, Iowa walked into the police station, for some reason that nobody understands, and asked the dispatcher if he was wanted for any crimes. He was and was also arrested, on the spot. But wait! There's more! The police found several bags of cocaine in his pocket.

And I assume they issued an APB for his brain.

Catnip, or Nepeta cataria, is an herb with nepetalactone in it. Many think that when cats inhale nepetalactone, it affects hormones that arouse sexual feelings, or at least alter their brain functioning to make them feel "high." Catnip was originally made, using nepetalactone as a natural bug repellant, but roaming cats would rip up the plants before they could be put to their intended task.

I remember getting catnip for our cats and they were just indifferent to it. Some cats are not affected by it, it seems.

That's true. Destiny loves it. It's like kitty crack to her, but Harley could not have cared less about the stuff.

I just found out that the reaction I'm doing with copper carbonate and acetic acid would be 1:1 by weight if I used 99% acetic acid. Though 8 times as much 12% will do.  8)

The US modified a Convair B-36 (XB-36H)to test to see if they could create a nuclear powered bomber even flying with an active three megawatt  nuclear reactor in the bomb bay.  The results of the trails proved it unfeasible and the program was canceled.  They sure tried some crazy shit didn't they.  And yes the Russians had a similar program :parts:

Carbonated water, with nothing else in it, can dissolve limestone, talc, and many other low-Moh's hardness minerals. Coincidentally, carbonated water is the main ingredient in soda.

In Sweden "doctor" is used as an honour title even for people who aren't doctors. In Sweden only specialists are M.D's. "Ordinary" physicians and dentists are "only" "licentiates" in Sweden.
